Shared Birthday

This past 14th was Jaime's and Mine birthday. Yup I can't believe it was two years ago that Jaime decided to come early and of all days my birthday! At exactly 12:01 he decided to come out and play!

We were seranated by my parents early in the morning. Than latter my mom surprised me with a yummy lunch with my sister's and my sister in law and brother in law. Everyone else was working or at school.
We also got a very yummy chocolate cake.

I couldn't help but smudge some frosting on his nose!

His favorite part was eating the round candy sprinkles off the cake!

At two he's running like the wind and jumping higher than I could ever jump. He says apato (shoe in spanish, sort of), Mami, Daddddiii (that's how it sounds), Mai (mari, my mom's name), no, stop, night night, amen, poo poo, pi pi, ouchie, and ewwww. He's super smart that it scares me. He loves kissing us a lot. Unfortunately he's also into bieting and pinching!

And well me, I turned 27. I guess I still feel young since I'm still in my 20s. I feel happy, I feel that I'm in a good place and ready to make this year of life the start of many best years to come. I'm in a different place spiritualy and mentaly. 26 thought me a lot. It taught me that you truly do learn from adversity and sometimes you DO need to hit rock bottom to be able to have an awakening. You do need trials to remind you when you are getting off track and to humble yourself. And thanks to that, this year I know will be a great one in this journey called life!

Babyshower!

This month of January we celebrated my sister in law's babyshower. She's having a little girl that she's naming Ruth. I can't believe she's having a baby. It's funny cause I find myself talking like older people, saying, "I remember her when she was a tiny little kid!"

I remember how she use to love to drink fruit punch or any bright drink from a cup with a wide rim so that she could get a bright drink mustache. She would walk around with it and she looked so cute! I remember how she had such big, puffy, wavy hair. Yet she has always been so unique that instead of trying to wear it back or slick it down, she would wear it proud. She would put on a headband and rock her big beautiful hair! She didn't know, but I looked up to her. She knew how to be confident and unique at such a young age.
I wish she knew how special she was and is. There's no point in dwelling on the sad things, it is what it is. I just hope that she can realize her potential and how special she is. She is now going to be a Mother. She's going to be responsible for one of Heavenly Father's children! It won't be easy, but it is worth it.

Her shower was packed with women who love her and will love her little baby girl. I was so excited when I went shopping for her gift. Baby clothes are just toooooooo cute! Here's one of the outfits I got her. Now tell me that isn't the cutest thing ever! Almost makes me want to have another one! But oh no, I'll just enjoy my new niece.

And her mother in law gave her this very unique gift. It was a clothes line full of hanging baby clothes! It was so unique.
And ofcourse there were many fun games. Like this new one that my sister in law, Gracie won. You had to make as many pairs of baby socks as you could in one minute with your eyes blind folded.
And ofcourse trying to guess the size of her belly. She was very deseiving!

It was a great babyshower!

Bowling

Well since the New Year's holiday fell on a weekend, David's job gave him the following Monday off too so we took advantage of it and went bowling. It was so much fun but I have to say neither of us were very good!
Natalie really enjoyed it and Jaime was taking it all in.

We had a lot of fun. I was surprised how good Natalie did since she played without bumpers. It was a great way to end the long holiday weekend!

The eating continues..............

You would think that after a loooooooooong night of partying to receive the New Year we would sleep in. Well not this family. Especially when my kids wake up at 8 no matter what time they go to sleep. We continued to enjoy the New Year doing our favorite thin..........getting together and eating! We must have ate too much because the boys started acting weird! Look at them! Hahahaha!
Here I am with my older sister Alma.

My mom loves cooking for us and she's sooooooooo good at it too. She always feeds all 10 adults and 16 kids at the same time inside her small home!

And we kept finding more things to eat like this cheesecake.

Then the next day, Sunday, we once again came to my mom's to eat some cake. The madness continued! Hahahaha! If you don't believe me than look at what Omar did to Jaimito's face! Thank goodness for washable markers!

And even at the end of the night my brother and my nephew where still digging into the condensed milk.

New Year's Eve

Well I'm running late on posting this but here it is!

My gramma's birthday is on New Year's Eve so we always celebrate it by getting together to eat. This time we gathered at a chinese buffet. It's super yummy there. All her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren get together to celebrate her birthday.

Here's Natalie with my gramma. It's amazing to see my gramma with my children. I hope I'm that lucky to be able to see my great grandchildren like her.

After that we went to my mother in law's ward for their end of the year party. Natalie found a way to entertain herself by making designs with the table confetti.

The party was so much fun. We danced soooooooooo much! It felt like we were at a Disco or something. Everyone was having so much fun. And when the clock struck 12 the hugs began!

Overall it was a great way to start the New Year. Happy and Dancing!
