Usually once every year us Mendez try to fly kites. I say try because most of the time we're not very successful. This year we were able to get our $1 kites up pretty easy. Even Jaime was able to fly his kite. So having been successful with our cheap little kites we thought we would try to fly a more intricate and fancy kite. Here's David trying to put our kite together. We bought it at Aldi and it caught David's eye because it was some sort of Star Wars looking thingy. Here's David trying to make sence of the directions. I don't know about you but I'm more of a visual person, I can't follow written directions. Another thing you should know is that us Mendez have the WORST, and I do mean THE WORST LUCK when it comes to buying things. We always, ALWAYS get the one in a million product that comes with some kind of defect or missing a part. For instance, our first pitcher we got came with a mest up spout which would pour the water in every direction exept the intended one. Then our fancy CD playing alarm clock who ofcourse wouldn't play CDs for some reason. The list just goes on and on. So ofcourse this couldn't be an exception. We were missing a part. But David being the little thinker that he is made his own part.
