The M&M Game

I while back I found this great post on Pinterest GAME . I decided to do a simple version with my kids. They loved it and since then have played it multiple times. They love it and each time we each make our own sheet with questions and then take turns answering from each page.

 

Basically we draw a square with every color of either the M&Ms or Skittles, depending on what we're using that time. Then we write a question or a dare next to each one.

 

Then we pick an M&M or Skittle and see what color we get and then do as it says.

As you can see we had a lot of fun and it's a fun way to get kids talking too. Give it a try.

It Has Begun

Well it finally happened. My pre-teen got her first Valentine's gift from a boy. She received a rose in school from a secret admirer. Well she knows who it is though.

 

Not only that but she had her first real Valentine's dance. She actually wore a dress and let me doll her up.

I had mixed feelings. It was fun getting to doll her up and pick out her outfit. Doing her hair and a little bit of make up. She looked beautiful.

But then I felt emotional seeing her take her first steps to being a teenager. Having admirers and seeing her react like such a lady. Seeing her getting excited to get all dressed up. She's definitely not a little girl anymore and that really brings some tears to my eyes. But I also have happy tears seeing that all our hard work is paying off. She truly is a good girl that we can trust. And I know she will walk into teenage-hood (is that a word?) with confidence and the tools to make good decisions.

First Temple Trip

This year was Natalie's first time at the temple to do baptisms for the dead. I think I was just as excited as she was. Well she was very nervous.

 

                      My mom and I got to go with her and experience this milestone with her.

Her cousins where there too. It was nice to see the youth of our family doing such worthy things.

It was special. I realized what a good girl she really is. I need to give her more credit. She was reverent and listened to the Stake President's words. I pray that she felt the spirit and that as she continues to go to the temple her testimony will grow.
